BRAIDSTREAM WEDDINGS
Braidstream takes great pride in providing the most gracious and elegant music for weddings, with their own particular flair for original sounds. Brides can choose from a variety of styles so that they may create the ambiance of their dream wedding. Braidstream is fully adept with traditional wedding repertoire; however, the bride may choose also from a variety of styles including Renaissance, Medieval, classical, romantic, light garden music, quiet contemplative and religious music as well as contemporary and Celtic music.
The choice of musicians and instrumentation is also adaptable allowing for budget needs, but always with the ability to create just the right mood. The full complement of instruments can include classical guitar, flute, hammered dulcimer, cello, harp and keyboards. We play in every possible combination of instruments from duos to the full sextet according to the fullness of sound necessary for the ceremony. We also have a vocalist should special songs be requested. If the event is an outdoor wedding, Braidstream musicians need a flat and shaded location. There is a slight additional charge for a situation that requires amplification, including remote microphone for the officiator. We are also happy to provide equipment and assistance for playing pre-recorded accompaniments for guest singers.
BRAIDSTREAM RECEPTIONS
Braidstream can remain in the same configuration for both wedding and reception depending on the style of music requested. We can play lighter classical music, Celtic, jazz, and “easy listening” background music. If you would like a more up-tempo reception, adding keyboards and percussion transforms Braidstream into a contemporary band, playing jazz and contemporary standards for dancing.
Braidstream has a flat rate for weddings and receptions, with a price break if we are hired to do both. There can be additional charges for travel, amplification, or overtime.
